How to diagnose

  1. Verify freeze-frame conditions and confirm code is current, not historic.
  2. Inspect DPF differential pressure sensor and its electrical connector for corrosion, damage, or loose pins.
  3. Inspect pressure sample tubes and ports for blockage, soot plugging, cracks, or leaks; typical on this platform: Sensor drift or blocked/leaking pressure tubes.
  4. Check sensor supply voltage and signal plausibility with scan tool; DPF differential-pressure signal is implausible.
  5. Compare differential pressure reading at idle and during a controlled load increase to expected values; DPF differential-pressure signal is implausible.
