  3. Visually inspect DPF differential-pressure sensor, its two pressure tubes, and harness routing for heat damage, oil contamination, or chafing.
  4. Check sensor connector for corrosion/moisture and perform a pin drag test on the ECM and sensor connectors.
  5. Measure sensor reference voltage, signal, and ground at the sensor connector with key-on/engine-off and compare to spec; look for open/short to battery/ground.
  6. If electrical values are normal, monitor live differential-pressure PID at idle and during a light load to see if the sensor responds plausibly; a stuck or erratic reading supports sensor replacement.
  7. Clear codes and road test; re-evaluate for recurrence. If the fault returns only under heat/vibration, focus on wiring integrity and secure routing away from exhaust.
